C Major / A minor Dyads - Thirds intervals
Double-stops (2-string "chords") to play with both Major & minor keys.
The shapes can be played in an alternate key by sliding the root note (on the same string) up or down the fretboard and playing the same pattern (e.g. moving the root note and all other notes in the pattern up 2 frets would change an Am dyad pattern into a pattern to play in the key of Bm. The new root note would now be B).
Use any boxed “A” (depending which adjacent strings you prefer to use) to begin an A Minor run, up or down the fretboard.
Use any boxed “C” to begin a C Major run, up or down the fretboard.
Play two matching-color notes together, at the same time.
For example in shape 1, for A minor, play < A-c, B-d, C-E, D-f, E-g, F-a, G-b, A-c >.
Play one or more two-note chords, up and down as desired, such as < A-c, B-d, C-e, B-d, A-c > . Perhaps walk up into the F chord when playing in the key of C, such as < C-e, D-f, E-g, F-a >.
